Starbucks mission statement (along with its delicious variety of beverages), is probably why the multi-million dollar coffeehouse chain has soared to success.

Known for its hipster menu items and Instagram-capture-worthy frappucinos, teas, and lattes, Starbucks quickly became the third-largest fast food restaurant chain. But its unicorn-inspired coffee products isn’t the only reason why Starbucks is so famous. After all, the real essence of a brand can only be captured by its mission statements and values.

Starbucks Mission Statement

Surprisingly though, Starbucks coffee mission statement has absolutely nothing to do with coffee. At least not directly, like most coffee chains. Here’s what Starbuck’s mission statement is as mentioned on its company website:

“To inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.”

So as you can see, the coffee house’s mission statement doesn’t have so much to do with selling the best coffee. Instead, the brand focuses on building a more meaningful and impactful ideology.  This eventually leads to a warmer company culture.

Starbucks manages to create a friendly abode by nurturing human spirit amongst its employees and customers. As the mission statement emphasizes on gradually building deep relationships “one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time”. This shows how the firm wants to impact each and every customer and employee. At the same time, the mission statement also discusses how Starbucks is making a conscious effort to pave its way into every neighborhood, even if it’s one gradual step at a time.

Starbucks Coffee’s Vision Statement

Now, let’s talk about Starbucks coffee’s vision statement. Essentially, a vision statement’s primary focus is to help brands navigate their way through market conditions.

While Starbuck’s vision statement is no been readily presented, its website reveals something of the sort. The vision statement reads:

“To establish Starbucks as the premier purveyor of the finest coffee in the world while maintaining our uncompromising principles while we grow.”
